"A word in your ear, from father to son hear the word that I say. I fought with you, fought on your side long before you were born." Queen

My new hero is a Daddy Blogger by the name of Black Hockey Jesus.
The title of his blog is The Wind In Your Vagina Notes From The Playground. Need I say more?

Black Hockey Jesus (BHJ for short) is a wonderful writer and my favorite kind of Dad. Read his sidebar to see where he got the blog name.
Honestly, I think I am in love.

It is fun having a short cut to BHJ on my desktop. I love watching the stunned looks on the faces of visiting children when they try to sneak onto my kitchen computer to surf YouTube or play Runescape and they see the shortcut. The Wind In Your Vagina. First comes a look of confusion, then a look of horror, sometimes followed by a look of embarrassment.

One kid read it, then asked to use the phone and called his mother.
I especially enjoy listening as a child who can't quite comprehend what it says struggles to sound it out. I enjoy that stunned silence when they realize what they have just read aloud. Sometimes it is the only quiet moment in my day.

Why is Black Hockey Jesus my hero?
Read this post . I think he should be Father of the Yea. I wish he would adopt me. Then scroll through his archives until you find the post about his dead cat.
I laughed so hard I almost peed myself.
Well, ok, that happens nearly every time I laugh - you know, two c-sections and some extra weight will do that to a woman. Let's just say I laughed harder than I have laughed in years.
I laughed really hard, so hard I woke Dennis.
He was not amused.

And while we are on the subject of mean kids (which is where we will be if you read his post) if you have a daughter, were a daughter or teach children, after you get your fill of Black Hockey Jesus, please read Odd Girl Out The Hidden Culture of Aggression In Girls by Rachel Simmons.

Thanks, R.
And thanks to you, too Yatisalem.
I like your blogs too.
And, yes, BHJ does have enough readers, but something that good must be shared. Like I said, I think I'm in love.
