Eden and I will both be creating squares in the Tivoli Street Painting Festival tomorrow, so wish us luck. We hope that Dennis will come in the afternoon and take photos for us to post.
This will be Eden's first public appearance as a Madonnari. I know that she will have a great time, as "chalking" brings her great joy.
I have not done a street painting festival since I participated in The East End Arts Council when the kids were little - Harrison was still in diapers. Come to think of it, I have not actually done any artwork since the kids were little, except for a couple of belly masks.
I hope my fingers can still work a piece of sidewalk chalk. Actually, I hope I will be able to get up at the end of the day after laying on the ground drawing. The last time I did this I was a bit more nimble.
I have a feeling Eden will do a picture of a mermaid.
If I was good at copying faces, I think I would do Our Lady of Obama. But wait a minute, can I do that? Isn't Obama a Muslim? hmmmm........
